Relief for Ghanaian Hajj pilgrims as first batch to return home on Thursday

There has been huge relief for Ghanaian Hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia following news of the review of arrival date Ghanaian pilgrims to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana had initially scheduled the first flight to bring back home pilgrims for September 14, which is nearly one month after the formal completion of Hajj activities. The expected long wait had created worry and anxiety among pilgrims, with many complaining of limited money to spend over the waiting period.

The Pilgrims Affairs Office has however, reviewed the schedule, announcing that the first batch of pilgrims will now arrive in Tamale on Thursday September 6, 2018.

According to a flight schedule released by the Pilgrims Affairs Office, the airlifting of pilgrims to Tamale will complete on Wednesday September 12, 2018.

However, the first flight bringing back pilgrims to Accra is scheduled for Monday September 10; 2018, with the final flight scheduled on September 19 2018.
